12 New Works from the J.Grumbles Studio

Of the hats I'm wearing right now, besides mom-dom, painting art is becoming my favorite.  This favorite is definitely in competition with my love for painting furniture and selling Uptown Country Home treasures, but when I ran the Uptown Country home storefront, I didn't have as much time to for this kind of art. Now I do! So, in this post, I present to you my 12 most recent works.
(and don't forget Dallas, you can come bid on some more new works of mine and other local artists at the 8th annual Summer Colors Art Auction in July!)

It's Back! Summer Colors

My favorite event of the year is just around the corner...Summer Colors!

Summer Colors is a silent art auction featuring fantastic works by local artists.  All proceeds benefit Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. There are multiple reasons to attend this event: support the hospital, support local artists, wine and dine one food that is so yummy and pretty it is an art itself, and score some unbelievable art.

Here's a look in behind the doors of my home, which shows what a true fan of this event I really am.  Every year, my husband and I bring home a piece (or two) that we won at Summer Colors.  Nearly all of the art in our house is from the annual Summer Colors event.  It is so special because each of these pieces were created by Texas artists with the children of TSRHC in mind.  Every time I glance up at one, I am reminded of the big hearts of these artists and just how important their work truly is.
