POLICAL ART & DECOR

My curio shelf of treasures.

Bedroom pics from Apartment Therapy reader, Clarice.  She wants to spruce up this room more.  I say the colorful framed poster is a good start! APT Therapy post here.  Her poster by artist Shepard Fairey was available here, but is sold out.
Mine (above), by Scott Hansen, is one of only 5,000 created - also here, also sold out.

Or you could always buy a few of these throw pillows (below) for your couch.
That was a joke. No matter who you are supporting , please don't buy that throw pillow it is so ugly.

CUSTOMER PAD: LYDIA'S APARTMENT

Lydia Elliott's Pretty Purply-Blue Accented Apartment

Above her couch is a J.Grumbles Studio original commission piece.  Her stylist-sister Bianca suggested the Two's Company Bamboo Mirrored Triple Shelves ($100 each, available here) for the sides of her painting.  Her rug is also from Uptown Country Home, and her curtains from Pottery Barn Kids (because she is definitely a kid at heart.)
Frantiques repainted her vintage TV stand in her family room a pretty periwinkle (it was yellow in her last apartment), and Lydia's record collection sits in a Frantiques Gold Vintage Magazine Stand.

Genius move how she took her old patio furniture and made it the little sitting area in her living room. All her accessories and frames are from Uptown Country.

More Frantiques and a special-ordered blue coral needlepoint bench! (Smaller styles here.)

To-die-for Anthropologie dresser and hardware.

And another J.Grumbles Original painting and a Frantiques bookshelf for her pretty bags. Thank you Lydia!

JUNKER EXTRAORDINAIRE

My friend Troy, from Rue, is the ultimate trash to treasure guru. The self-titled junk mongers behind Rue, Rod & Troy, brought us new treasures last week and took some pics of the store while they were here. You can read Troy's blog, Dewberry Junction, and the post about Uptown Country here!
Above, a flea market booth full of Rod & Troy's once-trashed treasures.

BY BAY AND BY SEA

By Sea: I was lucky to be able to spend the weekend at the most magical beach house ever (above) in Martha's Vineyard.
By Bay: When I returned, one of my all-time favorite bloggers, SF Girl By Bay, posted about my pad and all things Pine Cone Hill and Dash and Albert. You can see the post here. The link to her whole blog, which is full of pretty photos from her journeys through San Fran and a whole lot of bohemian-chic style, is here.
