Extraordinarily talented stylist, Uptown Country Home customer, and best friend Bianca Elliott wheeled and dealed at a local antique mall for this new painting for her living room. Her retro chair, with original vintage leather upholstery, is a find from when she first moved in. We painted it purple, her signature color.

DESIGNERS FOR CHANGE

Design and politics are colliding this year with the launch of Runway to Change, the major fashion event that benefits the Obama Victory Fund.  You can read all about the Marc Jacobs, DVF, Juicy Couture, Tracy Reese, Beyonce , Jay Z (and many more) collaboration here.  And most of the designer gear is available here at the official Runway for Change store.

Lydia Elliott's Pretty Purply-Blue Accented Apartment

 Above her couch is a J.Grumbles Studio original commission piece.  Her stylist-sister Bianca suggested the Two's Company Bamboo Mirrored Triple Shelves ($100 each, available here) for the sides of her painting.  Her rug is also from Uptown Country Home, and her curtains from Pottery Barn Kids (because she is definitely a kid at heart.)

Frantiques repainted her vintage TV stand in her family room a pretty periwinkle (it was yellow in her last apartment), and Lydia's record collection sits in a Frantiques Gold Vintage Magazine Stand.

Genius move how she took her old patio furniture and made it the little sitting area in her living room. All her accessories and frames are from Uptown Country.
